[Question] working with outdated PowerShell

At my work computers are running PowerShell 2 which is unable to run my script written in PowerShell 5. I asked IT about it but since I’m working for a big international company they’re very slow to make changes.

I think the most important issue is dot-notation. I’m not sure it’s possible to circumvent this, but I wonder if it is possible to include this functionality in the script itself or package the whole thing with some necessary libraries in an exe. Any ideas would be welcome.
